The people of Gatumba have faced devastating flood, but they haven’t been forgotten. Once again, New Generation has stepped up, providing much-needed aid to those affected by the rising waters of Lake Tanganyika and the Rusizi River.

Thirty-two young people from New Generation’s Kinindo Leadership club gathered for a training on the subject of Leadership on May 22nd. The training revolved around introducing the concept of Leadership and defining a good leader. One of the traits of a good leader, for instance, is being able to impact people and society positively. Heavy rains have caused widespread flooding in Burundi, particularly in Gatumba Commune. Thousands are homeless, with over 100,000 displaced and 162,000 affected across the country.
