Yesterday, New Generation Burundi along with the team of youth leaders, part of the “Burundi, UrwarukaTurashoboye” campaign, went to Bubanza for the second public campaign. Thousands of people came. The event started with a football match between our Team Imboneza and the Elephants underground football team from Bubanza. Our team won 1-0. This was followed by the campaign, where we delivered our message to the public through dances, songs, speeches and testimonies.
In the morning before the event, New Generation spoke to the students from Lycée Bubanza and Ecole Technique de Bubanza about the importance of education, encouraging them to persevere and not to give up so that they can contribute to the development of Burundi.
Prior to this campaign, New Generation participated in numerous radio shows (11 in total in 9 radio stations), talking to young people about the youth engagement program and the campaign “Burundi, Urwaruka Turashoboye”. A video report highlighting the first public campaign held at Centre Jeunes Kamenge was also produced.
