As part of its follow-up mission, New Generation visited the children supported by the “Girubuntu & Giriteka” programs at Gasorwe, with the aim of evaluating their academic progress and well-being as the school year 2024-2025 comes to an end. The visit began with a warm welcome and words of encouragement from the Program Manager, addressed to the children who had just completed their school year. A meeting was also held with the parents of these children, reinforcing the collaboration between families and the organisation.
In a particularly uplifting moment, the National Coordinator of New Generation took the floor to share heartfelt words of hope and encouragement, motivating the children to keep moving forward with determination and resilience.
A documentary highlighting the life and journey of the Founder Mr Dieudonne Nahimana was then screened, offering inspiration to both children and parents.
Individual one-on-one sessions were held with each child, providing a safe space for listening and guidance. Report cards were collected and reviewed in order to assess each child’s academic progress and identify areas where further support might be needed. The day concluded in a spirit of unity and joy, as everyone gathered to share a meal together.
