Jean-Kelly’s story

Hello!

“My name is Jean-Kelly and I’m 14 years old. I have spent 4 years on the streets and have been part of the Outreach Program at New Generation from the last 1 year. I have experienced positive changes in myself: my way of thinking has changed. Earlier, I used to steal, smoke cigarettes and weed. Now I don’t. I never thought I could get out of these bad habits but I took baby steps and was inspired by the moral sessions conducted at New Generation. I feel that the society can offer a better future to a child through education. I wish to become a Doctor.

My message for kids who take drugs and who steal: I want to encourage other street-connected children to stop using drugs and stop stealing. I encourage my other friends to take advantage of the Outreach Program and listen to the advice given to them”.
